Risk Management and Insurance Student Scholarships and Trip Opportunity

Students majoring in risk management/insurance are encouraged to apply for the scholarships described below. Department scholarship applications are made available twice a year in the fall and spring semesters. By completing the departmental scholarship application, you will be considered for all scholarships that are listed below for which you meet the eligibility requirements. Scholarship recipients are determined by the RMI faculty unless otherwise noted. In addition, a list of external scholarships that generally target RMI majors, is also provided below with the appropriate information and application due date.

Please complete the application through the link found below by March 11 to be considered for a Fall 2018 scholarship. Scholarships will be presented at the Gamma Iota Sigma/RMI Program Banquet at the end of the semester. 

Additional Scholarship Opportunities:

- The Association of Insurance Compliance Professionals (AICP) is now accepting applications for three $1,500 scholarships. Scholarship awards are given to qualified full-time students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in insurance, actuarial science, economics, finance, management, mathematics, risk management, statistics or a business-related field. To be eligible, a grade point average of at least 3.0 is needed. If you are interested, be sure to apply before the deadline June 2nd through the following link found below:

-The Bouchard Insurance Professionalism award is presented to students who are highly engaged in both GIS and department events, as well as students who go above and beyond what is taught in the classroom by taking initiative to learn more about the industry. Students who are eligible will receive a certificate of completion and a small monetary award provided by Bouchard Insurance Company. Emails for the application have been sent out to all FSU RMI majors, and are due by April 18th. Make sure to complete these promptly, as they will be awarded at the upcoming Spring Banquet.
